Victim of a rogue kidnapping in Venezuela, the 8 December 2003, at the age of twenty-five. She spent a month and a half in the jungle, until she was freed in a joint operation by French and Venezuelan government forces. She subsequently wrote about her traumatic experience and her sense having been abandoned by comparison to other hostages who benefited from more extensive media coverage.
